Meet Carlye Kussard, your Twin Cities cat groomer!
Carlye loves all things cat!
Her journey into cat grooming began with the rescue of Yeti, a long-haired kitten with grooming needs that matched his energetic spirit. His fur seemed to be everywhere, prone to tangling and getting greasy, not to mention his less-than-ideal bathroom habits—made worse by his white fur!
Finding suitable grooming services for Yeti in the Twin Cities proved challenging, due to limited options and long waitlists - not to mention a lack of places that were dog-free and serene enough for his comfort.
Determined to create a peaceful haven for cats like Yeti, Carlye took matters into her own hands. She trained at the National Cat Groomer’s Institute*, and with a Certified Feline Master Groomer, learning the skills needed to become an exceptional cat groomer. Thus, Bell Cat Grooming was born, offering feline-exclusive, stress-free grooming services, in her cozy home salon.
Now, Yeti enjoys a pristine coat (despite his playful and messy antics), thanks to Carlye's skills and training.
Carlye is on her way to earning her full certification as a Feline Master Groomer. Beyond grooming, Carlye expresses her artistry through drawing cat portraits and doubles as a cat sitter. Her background in mental health counseling underscores her commitment to empathy and kindness in every aspect of her work. No matter the condition of your cat, Carlye is not here to judge, but to help come up with solutions.
City-licensed and fully equipped, our salon is a peaceful, cat-only space that blends homey comfort with professional quality. Located in the quiet Longfellow/Howe neighborhood, we are away from the noise of busy commercial areas.
The salon is situated at the rear of a residential home in its own private, recently renovated room designed specifically for cat grooming.
Because we operate from a dedicated home-based space, we’re able to keep our costs reasonable and our appointments truly one-on-one. Your cat receives individual attention, without the rush or distractions that often come with larger commercial salons. Whether your cat needs a maintenance groom or a complete transformation, Carlye welcomes them warmly into her salon.
